Rejection Of 2nd Tourist Visa In Penang

Featured Replies

Hello All,

I used to reccommend the banana new guest house in penang, but they just brought back my passport, REJECTED, becuase i had my previous one tourist visa extended for 30 days in Koh Samui.

They did ask me however, well more or less told me, that i need to pay an extra 150 ringit, for an "under the table" bribe.

I did not pay this. I did try an negotiate this fee, but i 95% sure that my Passport was never actually taken to the embassy after paying the 5 ringit running fee. (Had 2 previous 3 month non extended Non-Bs)

After asking around, the feedback was that not makin enough money on the free tourist visa scenario. I met some other people at different visa running hotels and they where approved with the same situation. just having only 1 tourist visa, but extended it at their destination.

I would like to advise or be it a mild warning or de-reccommend The new Banana guest house and their current service. I know everywhere is different, and everyone has their own different methods blahblah.

So being a friday, short on cash, i have no choice but to return on the horrrrribble 16 hour journey back to Koh Samui.

Cheers for listening to yet another complianer.

That seems to be SOP in Penang that a new tourist visa will not be provided if you have extended your previous tourist visa stay.
