I'm about to install Win 7. I live in the boonies and my only connection (on XP) is a Sky Edge modem (Model DF-138-B, 460 kbs).

I'll be out of business if Win 7 does not recognize the driver and I cannot connect. I have searched TV and the web but not finding anything useful.

Appreciate any input or experience on the subject.

Well, it's tomorrow already and I'm online (obviously). A little messing around with Win 7 telling me the Profile (DTAC) was being used by another modem, but eventually got through that and I was very happy to get a connection. Thanks for the response Ianwuk.

Tip for anyone installing Win 7 over XP ....leave your internet connection on when you insert your Win 7 disk, the first thing Win 7 wants to do is find and download updates. Not really an issue, just confusing because you can actually back out of the initial setup screens without issue.
