Central Sofitel, which is at Central Ladprao - north of Chatuchak. I've also stayed there. Also satisfactory more pricey. FORTUNE HOTEL at Fortune Tower, where u have the MRT station just in front of the hotel, and which sends you almost inside of the JJ market (Kamphaeng Phet station) for as low as 15 Baht within 15 minutes......there are some more hotels at the range of 1000-1500 at Ratchada, just check one of the numerous hotel-booking-websites.......have fun.....but be aware of the pickpockets at JJ-market......
