I didn't do much testing - it took too long!

Using DTAC using mobile phone as a modem.

These results were obtained at 1.45 AM - about the best time to do any work.

other times of the day, it would be impossible to measure anything.

Weekends are hopeless - I find something else to do.

I've complained many times and "the engineers" were going to look into it.

But it slowly gets worse, probably because more kids are coming online and playing games,

using up what little bandwidth we have here in outback Uthai Thani.

It's not cheap either because of the low "speeds" it takes me 20 minutes to do what would normally

take no more than 2 minutes!

I believe that such a test is not the best to measure your internet connection.

http://myspeed.visualware.com/index.html

This also measures the QoS (Quality of Service) which, IMHO, is a better indicator to see if you get good streaming capabilities (either voIP or video).

Hi

Looks bad

Interesting, if you take into account the time of day at each destination, it makes more sense. If it is 8:45PM here, and we look at the time in the destinations I chose: it's 8:45 in KL, 5:45AM in San Francisco, 8:45AM in Toronto, and 2:45PM in Zurich.

The closeness to KL is the main variable in the grade, but I also did well in SF. I think that is because of the time of day, no one is using the net there. Zurich is almost as far, (SF=12,735KM, Z=9026KM), but it is the afternoon there, and it is Monday morning in Toronto, just as businesses are about to open. I'll try again during the day here.
