Marriage Visa Or Multiple Entry Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

I wish to support my longterm girlfriend or wife want to know about the rules first of all marriage visa I read somewhere that I need to have i think 300000 baht to show thai government every year and income also want to know about multiple entry tourist visa are you allowed to leave the country and re-enter the country without forfieting the visa my girlfriend is having a child next year and like spend more time with in supporting her and at least to be with her

thanks

The requirement is a non immigrant visa entry and 400k in a bank account here in your name for two months prior to first application for one year extension of stay. You obtain a re-entry permit to leave/return. You must be married and present that proof along with copies of supporting documents.

For visa entry (without above extension of stay) you would want a multi entry non immigrant O visa. That may require show of funds at some locations and may not even be available at some. But the level would normally be less than 400k - currently it is 100k in KL. Failing that single entry non immigrant O is normally available with proof of marriage and copy of wife ID card.
