Concrete Plates To Make A Kitchen

Featured Replies

You all probably know the concept of those little outside kitchens on the balcony. They use concrete plates of about 7cm thick and about 60x40cm and place small tiles on them.

But where can I buy these plates in Pattaya? I haven't seen them in Homeworks or Homepro.

They're normally cast in situ as far as I know, but you're talking about a fairly small slab.

You may be able to use the reinforced slabs that they from floors with, get it cut to length??

I need 2 pieces of 120x60cm. The ones in my bathroom here are indeed reinforced with steel on the inside.

Where do I go to get them?

The floor slabs you gate at a builders merchant, they're usually 4 metres long I think.

They're a bit springy at that length, but cut to 1.2, maybe they will suit your purpose.

Otherwise get a small builder to cast the slab in situation.

Try BOONTHAVORN PATTAYA. They probably have what you are looking for, I bought my kitchen in Bangkok from them.

Believe you are talking about the actual worktop right? If so best to cast in place, a piece that size would have steel inside it as well as being quite heavy.

To cut ready made floor beams to that size requires two cutters, one for the concrete and one for the steel, not easy.

Yeah I could just make one myself with some concrete cement and steel but it might weigh to much... 10x100x100cm = 230kg?!
