i want to print about 200 colour pages a month; labels, not photos so the colour quality isn't that important.

what printer would you recommend that i can find in pantip? i need to refill it cheaply from the ink bottles, no expensive cartridges.

i heard the modified ones with the cables sticking out of the top are unreliable. is there anything unmodified that can easily be refilled with bottled ink?

Epson printers can be fitted with ink tanks or filled. Being piezo-electrically operated, the jets are not so prone to blocking up as other makes. And as a bonus the print quality is usually far better.
