Is Gmail Working For You?

Featured Replies

I cannot access Gmail today.

pop.googlemail.com is timing out.

Any ideas??

Thanks

Not sure but I have changed to using mail.google.com in a tab of Chrome and have been logged in all day and working fine. Get everything on this, including Hotmail, for last several months with no outage. I did have that happen at times when I was using Pop in Thunderbird however.

Access via webmail works fine so no problems with Gmail per se. Try access via your browser and see what happens.

For me everything is working fine on gmail (pop, smtp and web) on True ADSL in BKK

pop.googlemail.com

The correct pop server name for gmail is: pop.gmail.com (at least for me!)

Edit:

Just saw that "pop.googlemail.com" is the mail server of gmail in Germany. Could be the problem is at their end.

The www.googlemail.com server in the EU appears to be down, can not access it.

These things happen from time to time. Just try again later.

used GMail as back-up to my normal messaging service and found it patchy..sometimes unable to access

have a chat with your ISP and see if they can adjust your routing..might work

I'm getting the same problem a few hours ago...so that means its not your computer but maybe an interittent problem with Gmail servers. this also happened to me 2 weeks ago.
