AirAsia launches Promotion to Celebrate 8th Anniversary

KUALA LUMPUR: -- To celebrate its 8th year anniversary, AirAsia has launched promotional all-in fares that start from RM 8 for domestic flights within Malaysia and from just RM 25 for international flights.

Travellers must book the promotional fares online between 8 and 13 December 2009 for travel between 5 July and 30 October 2010. These special fares are sold on a first come, first served basis, and as with all AirAsia promotions, it pays to be quick off the mark.

The special AirAsia fares are for flights to destinations including Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bali, Phuket, Taipei, Hanoi, Trichy, Abu Dhabi, Macau, Hong Kong and more. Terms and conditions apply.

The popular low cost airline today flies approximately 120 routes covering more than 60 destinations, and has already carried more than 75 million passengers. Its fleet has grown from just two aircraft to approximately 82.

It has established operations based not only in Malaysia but also Indonesia and Thailand, servicing a network stretching across China, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Australia. This success is complemented by AirAsia X, its new low-cost long-haul affiliate carrier that currently flies to destinations in China, Australia, Taipei, the UK, and Abu Dhabi.

The airline has already won numerous prestigious awards including the 2009 World’s Best Low Cost Airline in the annual World Airline Survey by Skytrax.
