December 9, 200916 yr Google Chrome browser has a new beta release and it comes with over 300 extensions ready for use. Boy! what a collection. http://chrome.google.com/extensions/
December 9, 200916 yr But it says "Extensions are not yet supported in this version of Google Chrome."
December 9, 200916 yr Hm, interesting. Had a look for adblock plus but thats not available. A few alternatives are, but ... from the documentation of one of them (adsweep) "Note: I do know it only hides ads. It's impossible to block ads like AdBlock Plus for Firefox does. Any extensions claiming that they do block ads are lying.". So apparently you can be prevented from seeing (some of) the ads (not surprisingly they don't hide Google ads) but the "seller" of the ad won't know you don't see it, he still get charged. Smart work Google. EDIT: Small correction: Adsweep actually also blocks (hides) Google ads. AdThwart which is being pushed by Google as "most popular" doesn't. December 9, 200916 yr Unfortunately it doesn't seem that Internet Download Manager works with Chrome Beta.
