I understand every young thai man at 21 goes to get a physical and if fit, they have a drawing and if it is yellow, he does not have to enter, if red, he joins.Do they send to what ever branch..Army-Navy ,Air Force they choose..? Can the one with yellow drawing, join if he wants to?

Can he(she) join at 18 and pick the branch they want?
