Nienke
Hhhm, after reading this: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/22/magazine...;pagewanted=all maybe it isn't such a bad thing to do, that is a DNA paternity test, before signing the paternity acknowledgment papers and, even more, before becoming emotionally attached to the child. elektrified
I met an American guy about a month ago here in C.M. who was required to get DNA tests by the U.S. Consulate. When he went to register the birth of his luuk kreung son they questioned the paternity. He told me that the cost was 10,000 Baht. bkkbill
About 8 years ago when I had my Canadian daughter registered as a Thai national we had to get a DNA test here in BKK. We all had to give blood at that time. Before only the women knew for sure.

moetownblues
If you know your partner why do you question her? Is there more to the story? Sorry to ask but where did you meet her? If you met in a bar then I would say for sure get a DNA test but if she is a good thai girl and you spend your time together then there should be no questions. I don't think Thailand has anything like the child support agency where they will track you down where ever you may be in the world.
