Does anyone know the maximum Value (say in UK Pounds Sterling) of Travellers Cheques one can purchase, using Thai Baht, in Thailand?

Dont know about Pounds but here in the US it is $1000 notes

I cash or deposit them in Thailand so I cant imagine why you couldn't buy that denomination too.

Especially if they are American Express checks.

I would like to know the maximum, i.e. total, value of Travellers Cheques I can purchase in Thailand at one time.

I am not asking about the maximum Denomination of a single Travellers Cheque.

then again... in Europe you can buy Amexco TCs up to 500,000 US-Dollars. denominations of 10, 25, 50 and 100k are available as well. processing time 5-7 working days.
