I entered the country on a tourist visa double entry, my first entry takes me up to 4th jan. Tomorrow I will be leaving the country for 10 weeks. When I re-enter Thailand again will the 2nd entry of my tourist visa start or will I get 4 week entry permit?

You must enter before the expiration date of your visa so check that. Otherwise you will only get whatever visa exemption your passport/entry allows.

Depending where your visa was issued will determine the “Use Before” date. You must make your second entry the day before this date to activate your second period of stay.
