Russian Couple Injured In South Pattaya Assault And Robbery

Featured Replies

Late on Wednesday Night, Pattaya Police were made aware of an assault and robbery which had just taken place under the overpass leading to the Bali Hai Port in South Pattaya. There were two victims of the crime, a Russian Couple who were shaken and slightly injured during a confrontation with 9 young men intent on robbing them of their possessions. Mr. Vachlav Ovsiy aged 35 and his wife of the same age, Mrs. Ksenika Ovsiy were able to give detailed descriptions of the gang members who fled in separate directions following the assault and robbery, during which a wallet containing 300 US Dollars was stolen. Police units managed to round-up 6 of the 9 men; however the 3 outstanding suspects were thought to be in possession of the stolen item. The 6 suspects were taken to Pattaya Police Station where they confessed to their part in the crime and claimed they needed money to have fun over the festive season, which would include the purchase of class 1 drugs. Police are now hunting for the 3 who managed to flee with the victims’ wallet.
