beaner
Hi all, I'm looking to organize a night beach dive, and possibly a bonfire, music, drinks/munchies on the beach afterward, but don't know what beaches are good for diving from. Also is the question as to whether a bonfire would be allowed on the beach. Would like to do this for New Year's Eve, but also in the future so any advice is really appreciated! Thanks! redfish44
Hi beaner, I can't help you with the logistics in Phuket, but it sounds like a lovely new year, and you reminded me I wanted to do similar on Lanta. I would check with the marine and fisheries dept about fires. Please post or pm me if you make it a regular thing as it sounds lovely. redfish
stevenl
Best diving: Northern end of Kata Beach, where there is a nice reef close to shore.
ScubaBuddha
Best diving: Northern end of Kata Beach, where there is a nice reef close to shore. I'm thinking the same. Should be out of the way enough, and good shore lighting so you wouldn't get lost. I might worry about the fisherman that seem to live around there. steelepulse
A bit late, but Ao Sane in Nai Harn is a good spot.
