brianinvegas Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Greetings, I'm think about heading to Bangkok for an undtermined amount of time. 30 days? 9 months? 2 years? I'm not sure. I've been told you can just keep renewing your visa by traveling to Malaysia or another country and re-entering Thailand. I get conflicting opinions on this. Also, I run a small Internet business and many of the checks I receive are from companies based in the U.S. Will Thai banks accept these? Thanks.

Also, I run a small Internet business and many of the checks I receive are from companies based in the U.S. Will Thai banks accept these? you need to have a work permit at most banks now to open an account. checks in dollars are going to be sent back to the US to be cashed. this is not recommended with all the bank charges and delays. have someone deposit your checks in a US bank account, then transfer to a thai account or use your ATM card.
