Aerobics Teacher Caught Up In Car-jacking

Featured Replies

In the early hours of Tuesday Morning, Police Officers and Volunteers working for Pattaya and Banglamung Police Stations were called into action following reports of a car-jacking which had occurred close to Soi Kow Noi. According to the victim, Khun Saranyar aged 23, she was preparing to leave the Tamsamakee Temple School where she worked as an aerobics dance instructor. She was accompanied in her Silver Chevrolet Car by her friend, Khun Chalermchai aged 23. Before they could leave, a man holding a knife, opened the rear passenger door and ordered her to drive towards Soi Kow Noi. She complied but the assailant panicked when he saw a Police Checkpoint in Soi Kow Noi and ordered the woman to swap places with him. He then drove through the checkpoint at speed and hit a concrete barrier but was able to continue driving. Officers gave chase and eventually forced him to stop in Huoy Yai on the outskirts of Pattaya. Unfortunately the suspect was able to escape but he did leave empty handed. Police are now hunting for the suspect who is thought to be a teenager. Apart from some minor damage to the car, Police confirmed that no one was hurt during the incident.
