16 Year Old Stopped At Checkpoint With Stolen Motorbike

Featured Replies

On Wednesday Morning in front of Banglamung Police Station, Police Colonel Somnook, the Chief of Banglamung Police announced the arrest of a 16 year old boy at a checkpoint set-up in Soi Siam Country Club. The boy was found to be driving a stolen motorbike which had been reported as stolen by Khun Lakanna aged 26. She was located and asked to identify her vehicle at the Police Station. She confirmed the bike was hers and the young suspect claimed that he had purchased the bike from his friend known only as “Lek” and was unaware the bike had been stolen. The boy was also urine tested and was found to have recently consumed class 1 drugs. Police have charged him with class 1 drug consumption offences and will question him further over the motorbike which has now been returned to its rightful owner.
