Apply For Non-o Visa In Penang

Featured Replies

To apply for initial non-o visa( for retirement) in Penang is a bank account with 20,000 bhat sufficient?

Is Penang ok for this ?

To later convert to retirement (USA-over 50yrs-)if have financial statement from USA consulate showing income = 800,000 bhat per year then how much should be in the bank account and how long does it have to be there before application?

My info says must be 30,000 bhat and must be there for 2 months before application for retirement?

true/not true?

Should be enough to get a single non-O.

The rules for an extension of stay are:

800,000 in the bank for 2 months (3 months for extensions after the first one)

OR

an income of 65,000 baht, certified by your embassy if from abroad

OR

a combination of money in the bank an yearly income, totaling 800,000.

Since you have more than 65,000 a month in income you don't need to show money in the bank for your extension.

Penang may issue single entry non immigrant O visa if over age 50. Probably without show of funds and 20k is a visa issue requirement if they want to ask.

The income requirement is 65k per month on Embassy letter. There is no bank requirement if you meet that level.
