How can someone run a YouTube-based business full time while living in Thailand?
You need a business visa, and a work permit. Just as important, you need a monetized YT channel. Which doesn't happen till you have 1000 subscribers. You could be incognito, but would need to qualify for visa. Need to be 50 yrs old, with some type of income, for visa for retirement. Guessing you are not 50 yrs old. LTR VISA & ELITE VISA which takes more money than most have or want to spend. -

Original lifetime Elite visa for sale?
They do come up sometimes on the FB groups. The original first version of the Elite with unlimited lifetime transfers are as rare as hen's teeth now, but the subsequent version is less uncommon and converts to 30 years on first sale I think (rules got modified over time). Some of the visas have an annual fee of ฿20k, and they're SE (special entry) type visas meaning only 3 months given on entry. TPC in the past has offered to convert for free to one of the modern PE (privilege entry) visas which provide one year stamp but lose some of the older benefits. Actually the original visa was poorly designed and the freebies they offered (golf, spa etc) almost babkrupted the business in the first decade. Buying used should not pose any special risk since all membership transfers have to be done through TPC anyway including their commission payment and involve the usual vetting procedures etc. They should be able to advise of any that are currently listed for sale along with the T&Cs of that particular membership. There are genuine reasons for sale that didn't exist a few years ago, including newer visa options and the threat of global taxation. The fact that the older plans can sometimes be resold more than once might make them more desirable than the modern versions. -

How would you know? They are under no obligation to tell you. They may use a business visa, a LTR, Elite. Most probably "under the radar" - and Thailand is smart enough not to go after people who produce free commercials for Thailand. Once it's not 100% propaganda for Thailand, they kick you out (remember the Chinese girl at Nana?)
