Did Anyone Ever Get A Solution To The 0.0.0.0 Issue With Vista Hp 64 Bit Sp2

Featured Replies

I still have the 0.0.0.0 issue in ipv4 after rebooting. Takes only a minute to sort out but I never found a solution. A quick trawl of the net gave me no easy answer though 6 months ago I saw something saying Microsoft knew there was an issue with SP2 on Vista 64.

There was also an issue with the 32 bit version or SP2 as I and many others lost internet connectivity. I did without SP2 and changed to Windows 7 but still get response to trouble card and it has apparently never been resolved.

I went looking at Microsoft's website today (which I hate as I can never find anything I need) and I couldn't even see the message from the middle of last year when they acknowledged the problem. Have they just "forgotten" about it ?

I don't really want to go to Win 7 now but I may have to. I cannot believe it is a massive problem to fix as it is( to me) just some code overwriting something else and it needs to be de-activated or another line inserted to remember the original settings and then to copy them back after reboot. Surely not rocket science.

For me, it means that if there is a forced reboot due to software updates, then I lose my internet connection, Skype etc.

If I'm around, A few clicks through Control Panel fixes it but it is very annoying.
