oldgeezer
Sorry but I can't find this topic in existing posts. We have a Lao citizen, applying for a maids job that makes border runs every thirty days to stay in Thailand. We did papers for one Karen here, but big hassle. She believes she can obtain a Thai work permit in Laos, or something equivalent. Having been through several maids, this one seems to be ideal, although she does not have a work permit and we want everything to be legal. Does this sound correct? Thanks much for any information you can provide.
jubby
I believe its the same for Laos as for Burmese. There something on here about it, I'm sure. I believe the work permit is obtainable in Thailand. It will cost you a few thousand baht and I believe there's a comprehensive Medical exam required which will cost a few thousand as well. Shouldn't be too much Hassle.
