Is Tot Limiting Usage?

Featured Replies

Hello,

Anyone else experiencing same as I am? Since (monday I think) I have had problems with my TOT connection. Ssh to my shell account in Finland has not been working most of the time, irc likewise. Game called Freeciv I play online with some friends cannot connect either. Problem seems to be not continuous, yesterday I was able to connect most of the day but later started getting timeouts again. Before monday everything was working 99% of the time, now everything but http (yeah, browsing web sites seems to be working all the time, no matter what country the servers reside) works perhaps 50% of the time.

Is TOT limiting other but http traffic? Anyone noticed anything? Or perhaps some strange routing problems (but why then http works to same destinations) on the way?

if you live in rural thailand, you could experience this. I am not too sure in the city though.

where I live, I was told that the TOT lines were somewhat limited therefore to secure a internet line as soon as

possible. I wasn't convinced on their story so I chose TT&T which provided me with a line immediately but they

also mentioned that the lines are limited in certain areas.

SSH was fine for me yesterday, and IRC has just checked out okay too.
