BillR
Have friend coming, want to terrorize his wallet (he owes me). What are the most expensive and good restaurants in phuket? Already going to floyds and 9th floor but beyond that not sure.
greenwater
Try "Acqua" in Kalim...or "Mom Tri's Boathouse" in Kata..but....in fact, to "terrorize" any wallet is sufficient to order Champagne Dom Perignon or others famous (and expensive) wine like 1995 Petrus-Pomerol....(about 100.000 baht) or the very cheap 1998 Sassicaia-Marchesi Incisa della Rocchetta (about 12.000 baht)...both perfect with Wagyu Kobe beef and both available at Mom wine cellar. Buon appetito.

chiang mai
Three of us got away for 3,000 baht at Silk (no booze), the same three got no change from 5,000 at Mom Tri's! But hey, that's only £33 per person, cost of a decent Sunday lunch in London at Simpsons in the Strand, surely we can do better than and come up with something really expensive! Was that at the new Andarra location ?? Buddy was moaning that they charged 330 baht for a single fried egg.

Valentine
There is an expensive 5 star restaurant on the road to Kathu waterfall. I have not been there, only heard about it so cannot comment on standard.

Food at Silk in Surin was not particulary highly priced in my opinion, went there just before they moved and got soft shelled crab for about 330bht. It was the drinks that were the killer. pagallim
Baba at Sri Panwa might suit your needs. Excellent food, but like most high end restaurants, not outrageously priced until drinks (and particularly wine) are added. Of the Mom Tri venues, I prefer Mom Tri's Kitchen at Villa Royale, rather than the Boathouse.
FaxFlora
the Ratri (Jazz?) restaurant in the Kata hills next to the bigone supermarket is pretty expensive.
pagallim
the Ratri (Jazz?) restaurant in the Kata hills next to the bigone supermarket is pretty expensive. But also quite poor service, particularly if there are large parties in.

LivinLOS
White Box, Joes downstairs, 9th Floor, Silk, Mom Tris, Climax, Aqua, Indigo Pearl.. Hear theres a michelin 2 star guy in Pavilions.. Whats the Sala place up at Mai Khao like ?? I think theres not really enough big spenders to support the really eye popping prices, sure theres a few but keeping a place running longer term requires a bit more balance in this community. Problem is that can mean indifferent food at mid fi prices as much as it can mean high end food at reasonable prices. Indigo pearls brunch strikes me as value even tho its expensive but (for me, only went once) white box was indifferent and also expensive. At decent pricing you would hope to not have hit and miss experiences.

Mmmmm....probably won't be back even though a really nice place.
