Taipei - Single Entry Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Hello,

Just a little report on our successful application for a Tourist Visa in Taipei.

We already have 3 x 60 day TV's from Taipei, Penang and Singapore.

(Yes, we should have gone to Hull for a full year thing, but our circumstances changed very quickly and there was no time to do so)

The cultural office on SongJian Road is pretty busy but very efficient.

Application submitted in a.m. returned same day p.m.

We presented one photo each, proof of flights out of Taiwan as well as flights out of Thailand.

The application form which we had downloaded from the website is out of date, so we had to rewrite another couple.

I had our bank account details available, just in case, but they did not ask for them.

Taipei is a great city; we lived there for nearly 4 years and came to love it.

It makes for a change from the usual visa destinations and AirAsia do some good deals for flights there.

The flight is a 3 1/2 hours or so, but I thoroughly recommend Taiwan as a destination.

The Taiwanese people are friendly and extremely kind to foreigners.

OK, so that is the little report and "plug" for Taiwan, hope this info is helpful. :)

Rachel

Many thanks for your report which may be helpful to others.

Great report, ladyarkles. I have now added Taipei as a destination in my list of "Latest Reports Of Getting A Visa In The Region"

Would Taipei give a double-entry tourist visa if asked?
