January 15, 201016 yr Hi, I am flying into Bangkok airport on the 20th June 2010 where i then intend to stay for a couple of weeks. After this i will then be crossing various borders in order to visit Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. I will then be flying back out of Bangkok and home on the 16th August. I am away for a total of 8 weeks. I was simply wondering what type of Visa i will need as all the information is very confusing?! Any help or guidance would be much appreciated (as well as extra information on whether to get Vietnam etc Visa's before i go or while in Bangkok). Thanks Andy
January 15, 201016 yr You need a tourist visa for Thailand if you do not have a ticket out within 30 days but other visas you can obtain in Bangkok.
January 15, 201016 yr Author So i'm presuming as i'm there (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos) for 56 days i need a 60 day (double entry?) Visa? Or if i only intend to stay in Thailand for a couple of weeks at the beginning can i get a 30 day one (on arrival?) and then when i come back into Thailand to fly out a 14 day Visa on arrival at the border?
January 15, 201016 yr You get a single entry visa prior to travel or the airline may not let you fly (if you do not have onward ticket in 30 days). You get 15 days on a land entry to Thailand and 30 days by air. But on long flights airline will often check for a visa if your return ticket is more than 30 days later.
