n the early hours of Saturday Morning, Police and Rescue Services received an urgent call to attend the scene of a serious road accident which had just occurred on the Sukumvit Road in Jomtien. The single vehicle road crash caused a considerable amount of damage to the vehicle, a car audio shop and restaurant. Those who attended were amazed that no one was killed, however the driver and passenger in the vehicle were seriously injured and rushed to the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya. The car driver was named as Khun Kanaert aged 30 who was travelling with his friend, Khun Sutat of the same age who works as a City Hall Security Officer based in Huoy Yai. Police tell us the driver is suspected of being over the legal alcohol limit and witnesses to the crash, including staff from the car audio shop, Khun Nalongsak, who’s Son was injured due to broken glass, explained the car slammed into the car audio shop and then carried on towards the restaurant next door. Police are investigating and will wait for the driver and passenger to be declared as fit to be interviewed before they proceed with the case.
