Thai Word For Stroke (medical Condition)

Featured Replies

Does anyone know what is the Thai word for a stroke. I need to explain to someone.

Thanks,

LL

A simple way of searching for corresponding terms is to look up the English entry in Wikipedia and then look for and click on ไทย (Thai) in the language menu to the left of the English article.

The heading of the article in Thai is usually the corresponding term, and even when it is not a perfect match, the subject matter will still deal with the right thing, so you can show it to your Thai friend to give them an idea of what you want to convey.

In this case that method worked, and the corresponding Thai terms according to Wikipedia is:

โรคหลอดเลือดสมอง or โรคลมเหตุหลอดเลือดสมอง or โรคลมปัจจุบัน

rôhk lòt lêuat sà-mŏng OR rôhk lom hàyt lòt lêuat sà-mŏng OR rôhk lom bpàt-jù-ban (automatic transcription from thai2english.com)
