January 17, 201016 yr Hello, Does anyone know if it is possible to exchange a USD Travellers Cheque for USD cash in any Bank or Exchange Booth in Thailand? Thanks
January 18, 201016 yr why don't you inquire with the international banking department of i.e. Bangkok Bank, Siam Commercial or a US financial broker in Thailand such as Merril Lynch, Fidelity.
January 18, 201016 yr harmish need to exchange your tc to baht first.... then the thai money changers around town can sell you the usd.... as much as you wish a chinese money changer in town sold me over 200k in usd in 100 notes.... for 0.25% above that day's exchange rate a very good deal at the time. just remember to declare it wherever you disembark.... ok? am sure you can do the same or even better, if you got the time to shop around. good luck. January 22, 201016 yr I have done it at Thai banks. You just tell them you want USD cash. They still have to charge you the tax stamp fee per TC cashed.
