January 18, 201016 yr What about True 3G in Bangkok : is it good ? What kind of price range are the mobile phones in which I need to connect to the internet with True 3G ?
January 19, 201016 yr See the new post about AIS announcement to offer 3G in 2100MHz in TOT network. 2100MHz is supported by most if not all 3G phones. Supposed to be available for AIS customers from 1st of February. Coverage is limited to BKK but i reckon TOT is going ahead with expansion regardless of the long pending licencing issues. The TOT service is available already via smaller MVNO's but the downside there is that they do not have proper 2G coverage meaning their sim cards are basicly useless if you want both, data and voice. AIS with access to TOT's 3G will be the usual 2G voice coverage added with 3G HSPA data while in TOT coverage area.
January 19, 201016 yr I'm replying on my 3g iPhone and I am sitting in silom. The range in silom is not that great but it works.
January 19, 201016 yr True 3G's coverage is more limited than TOT 3G's. After all, it is right now only in the testing phrase.
January 28, 201016 yr So for an iphone user that needs data/internet, Truemove is the way to go then?
