Shocking Phuket Motorbike Clip Prompts Safety Warnings for Parents
Picture courtesy of Daily News PHUKET - On 3rd July, a viral clip showing a parent riding a motorbike with a child, around 3-4 years old, standing on the seat went viral, drawing intense criticism. The child, without a helmet, clung to the parent’s back as the bike sped down a main road, causing alarm among viewers worried about the child’s safety. VIDEO Shared on the Facebook page "Driving Like This Needs to be Exposed, Phuket," the 13-second dashcam footage depicted the risky scene on Phra Phuket Kaew Road in Kathu. Observers feared the child could fall, risking serious injury or even fatality if hit by a following vehicle. The video sparked widespread concern online, with many urging parents to seat children safely in front. The page clarified that the intent behind sharing the clip was to warn parents against such dangers rather than to defame. Adapted by ASEAN Now from Daily News 2025-07-03 -
