January 19, 201016 yr Can i ask if using a tourist visa which provides a 60 day permission to stay in thailand included in the 90 days (visa exempt entry)30 daysx3 in any 6 month period. If it is not included, does that mean i can stay in thailand for 150days in the 6 month period ? Tourist visa is not the same as visa exempt entry? It is count as a separate thing?
January 19, 201016 yr There is no longer a limit of 90 days of visa exempt stay within 180 days. (When this limit was in effect, a stay based on arrival in Thailand was not counted as part of the 180 days) -- Maestro The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
January 20, 201016 yr The 90/180 rule was stopped over a year ago. A single entry tourist visa will give you a 60 day permission to stay on entry, which can be extended at Thai immigration for a further period of 30 days (fee 1,900 baht). Depending at which consulate you apply, you may be able to obtain a 2 or maybe 3 entry tourist visa which would allow an extended period of stay.
