Non-b

Featured Replies

Okay, so from what I've gathered...unless you've got a work permit going through, there is no getting a multiple entry non-b, correct? That leaves it to a non-b single entry if I have all the paperwork, but how long is that good for? I've been reading it's good for one year and that it's only good for three months. Any help is appreciated.

I'm living in Thailand at the moment, by the way.

For a single or multi there is no difference in the Paperwork required. To get a non b outside of Thailand you require a receipt from the Ministry of Labour, without this, no Non B.

You will need Form WP3 receipt issued by labour office (confirming application for work permit has been made) plus full company documets to obtain Non-B visa within the region. Will be single entry visa first time around, but can obtain multiple entry visa later when work permit is available or, alternatively, obtain extension of stay based on employment from Thai immigration if you meet the requirements.

Outside the region some of the honorary consulates such as Hull or Perth are currently issuing multiple entry Non-B visa against simple company letter of intent.

A single entry non immigrant B visa would allow a 90 day stay.

Okay, but how long is the single entry good for?

and then i'd have to get a work permit? would I have to leave the country once i get a permit or can i take care of that at the immigration office locally?

1) Apply for work permit at local labour office (your employer should do this) and obtain WP3 receipt.

2) Take WP3 receipt and company documents with you and obtain Non-B visa from consulate abroad.

3) On entry into the Kingdom you will get 90 day permission to stay on single entry visa.

4) Return to labour office with your Non-B visa to collect your work permit.

5) At 90 days you will need to obtain new Non-B visa or apply for extension of stay based on employment.

Work permits are dealt with by the Ministry of Labour and not immigration.

If you are willing to go back to your home country I have a service that guarantees you with a 1 year multi-entry Non-B with no work permit required. You cannot do this process in Thailand. It has to be done in your home country.
