Job In Bkk/wages

Recommended Posts

Hi all, i m currently seeking for an employment in BKK. I m 23 yo. with a degree in Travel Management, about 4 years working experience of these 2 years in Produktmanagement and Sales. Native tongue German + English and a bit Thai. I worked already there in Koh Chang as Guest Relation Officer for about 6 months. My question is now if I generelly have chances to get a job in Bangkok with this experience in Hospitality or Travel Business as expat? I already checked some announcements and all companies requires to remark expected salary. So i would like to ask what is a proper salary in Bangkok.I worked for 15.000 THB in KC but i think BKK is rather different by costs. So i think i get a suitable room, clean and central for 7000 - 8000 Baht (already checked) but what about additional costs such as dining, visa run, transportation via MRT etc..What would be approx the wage to have prossess a life where you dont have to count every coint, but also i dont need a luxury apartment or a own vehicle..By myself i thought about 20 - 30 K for wage. Would be cool if anyone can give me some tips especially about salaries and job opportunities in this sector in BKK. Thx Manuel

As far as I understand to get a workpermit and visa you will need at least an income of 50.000 THB.

Not sure if there is an exception for tourist industry work.

However to answer your question : What would be approx the wage to have prossess a life where you dont have to count every coin , but also i dont need a luxury apartment or a own vehicle.

About 25000 THB should be enough.

Minimum salary requirement for a German to get a work permit is 50K per month.

Minimum salary need to live in Bangkok as a single guy, comfortably as an Expatriate professional would be in the region of 70,000THB per month.

+++ lots of stuff when you start not being single!
