OK , past it last week and it looked completed

A man was out spray painting a red mail deposit box as I rode by yesterday. So it would seem like it would be soon.

It's on Sukhimvit between Chaiyapruek and the Floating Market on the ocean side of Suk.

That will be a bonus for the 'southsiders' when it opens.

Slight sidetrack but not completely off topic: has anyone tried the Post Office facilities that have set up in the lobby of the Diana Inn yet? I saw this featured in a Pattaya 'rag' story a few weeks back and thought that would help the foreigners that hate to stand in line and are pissed off by the local's penchant for line cutting.

Looks like the grand opening is today, a lot of pomp and ceremony going on there this morning, the media (channel 3 vehicles) were in attendance.

Very handy for us.

Yep looks like today, as we drove by this morning we saw, flags, balloons and lots of people.

For anyone living in Wongamat Beach, there's a new open mall being constructed across the street from the Centara Grand Mirage resort. It's supposed to open later this year and will contain restaurants, cafes, a grocery store, etc. With any luck, the grocery store will be good. And the area could use a few more restaurants.
