OK, I'm fixing a laptop for a mate, it's an Acer Travelmate 525tx

CMOS battery was dead, old one removed and given to said mate to obtain a replacement. Mistake, the plonker has lost it (before he got a replacement).

Brain here omitted to record the type (I won't be caught like that again) and the board shows no indication of the battery type.

Soooo, anyone got a list / link / knows the battery type in said machine, it's a very tiny and thin button cell.

go to an Acer service center with the machine. They can tell you what you need.
