B-visa And Workpremit Tax Question

Featured Replies

i have some question

if make an workpremit here in rayong company,

1. how much is the monethly tax for social security and so on what the company have to pay for the employe

2. i know minimum salary is 50k ,,so about 600k,,,,,what is the tax on it nd are their any legal cuts on the incomming for example fuel, adverts lifeinsurance etc.

thanks for answer

1. Employee social tax contribution 5% of gross monthly salary each month, maximum 750 baht (and same amount paid by employer).

2. 50k/month is the minimum salary requirement for extension of stay based on employment for westerners (but varies on nationality).

3. Using standard personal tax allowances on 50k/month salary (see attachment):

-- Income tax 2,933.33/month

-- Social tax 750.00/month

More information on personal tax allowances can be found here.

thanks a lot,,,,so on 50k salary the costs are 1500x12 equal 18.000 personal tax 2933x12 is 35.000 so total 53.000 plus extensionfee of 6000 ( 3 time per year(

could personal tax based on 600k could be cut by law for retirement savins, fuel and others

what is in this case with ofshoreincomming,,,i think if follow law have to tax as well or not

You only pay your part of social tax, ie, 750 x 12 = 9,000 per annum. The employer's contribution is a company cost and has nothing to do with you. There are other tax allowances as set out in the link in my earlier post. I do not follow your 6,000 figure. Annual fee for extension of stay at Thai immgration is 1,900. Unless you are on visa entry, and are referring to border run costs, in which case it would be a trip every 90 days. Without drawing Thai salary/paying Thai taxes you would not be able to renew your work permit.

thanks

i am wrong it is 1900.-

the tax for company from my friend, ) he has big company 80 employe) i have to pay in full because i only want to make the WP not for working,, just for visa, due to trouble of TR visas, and at the moment the easyest way to stay.

and for my friend its ok, they save due to higher salary, the tax on incomming of the company.

the problem is i am below 51......so.......

so the costs are about 50k what is cheaper than go to europe for non b multi,,,flights and boarderruns are inconvinient and more expensive.

the major question was on income tax , and thats about 36k can it be reduced by cutting any costs

ok thx

sorry, your calculation on tax is already included deduction from income or not

The 50.000 baht/month is for extension of stay based on employment.

If you make only 30.000/month you can still get a 1-year multiple entry non-B in KL if you have at least 8 months left on your WP.

This will only cost you 1000 baht /month in personal tax.

But you have to make a border run every 90 days.

If you're paying, don't forget the cost of the work permit.

There will also be costs for visa/flight/overnight accomodation plus border runs going the Non-B route. There is no financial requirement to obtain Non-B visa, but be aware that different labour offices set different financial requirements for renewal of work permits. Some follow the immigration rules, requiring 50k/month salary, so may be no benefit.
