January 29, 201016 yr I thought some of you guys may be interested in a great free download I came across, it gives you a Mac style animated dock on your windows XP, Vista or 7. I have it on my XP and it really cleans up the desktop and looks really cool. Give it a try and experiment with it after the download by using the configuration icon, I think it's almost too good to be free, but 100% free it is !!!!! I'll try to help you out with any configuration problems and can pass on some tips on how to make the most out of the dock. http://download.cnet.com/ObjectDock/3640-2...l?tag=page;page Enjoy !
January 29, 201016 yr I have all the paid for object desktop programs, love em. I use it to customise all my icons and make my own docks.

January 29, 201016 yr Cute, but how do you get the weather gadget to show the weather for Pattaya, Thailand. Accuweather knows about it, but the weather gadget doesn't seem able to find it. Hm, is this not supposed to be able to replace the windows task bar? I can see when an instance of a program on the objectdock is used there's a small triangle on the icon indicating it, but it doesn't allow me to shift focus back to the running task such as would be the case with the X/OS taskbar.... Did I misunderstand something? Edited January 29, 201016 yr by Phil Conners

Did I misunderstand something? Running tasks are displayed to the right of the Dock. I got rid of the weather app myself, simply drag it out of the dock and it is gone. Maybe you can create a desktop icon for the particular site that gives you the weather, then drag the icon into the dock. Edited January 29, 201016 yr by alien139
