3bb Lan Connection

Featured Replies

Before on dial up I used Outlook Express for my email, but now with a new 3bb 4mb Lan connection I find I can't send email out.

I know the smtp must be changed to do this but what 3bb gave me doesn't work (smtp.tttmaxnet.com) so wondered if anyone else has had the same problem and has found a solution. Thanks...

My usual settings for dial up were-- Incoming(POP3) ptty.loxinfo.co.th and my Outgoing(SMTP) mail.loxinfo.co.th

When I was on dial up I also used a Outgoing(SMTP) setting of mail.loxinfo.co.th. On changing to Maxnet broadband I found I could receive mail ok, but couldn't send. I experimented with various settings and found that a SMTP setting of mail.csloxinfo.com works fine.

I don't know if it will work for you, but it's worth a try.

I have 2 3BB Lines in my Office. Funny thing is that I have no Problem with the 2 MB Line, but I am not able to send out any emails using the 5 MB Line, which has a fixed IP Address. :) . Any of my request to 3BB was fruitless until now and so I have to swap between both Lines up to what I want do (sending emails or downloading)

Loxinfo's smtp server will not be accessible unless your connected to the internet through Loxinfo!

You might try smtp.tttmaxnet.com, works for Maxnet subscribers, not entirely sure 3BB will work as well.

I think the problem is that Maxnet/3bb blocks port 25. Try changing to port 587 and send. I use a third party smtp server where my mail is hosted, and can send with no problems if using port 587. Hope that helps.
