When applying for a UK settlement visa, what documents will I need to prove ownership of property in the UK. I contacted the solicitor about this and he's sent me something with the title "Registers Direct - Land Copy - View Register". It's got all the info about the flat I own but looks simply like a print out of a web page. Is that what the ECO is looking for or should I ask for something else? I thought I need to provide originals and not copies of everything.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You can get the office copy of the land registry entry over the internet. Cost £2 last time I did it and it shows the owner.

But only if your flat is registered.

And it used to be only during office hours (UK time). Silly idea!

It gives the land registry reference number so immigration can easily check using any computer.

You can also use official letters from mortgage company that show ownership such as annual statement. But use originals not copies.

If you want land registry document go to www.landregistry.gov.uk costs £4
