Im looking to go to thailand to do Muay Thai Boxing in Phuket, I am hoping to Stay for a total just under 4 months. But im sure i will be traveling a bit during my stay (Laos, cambodia, Vietnam etc). I have already had a 1 year non immigrant multi entry visa which has just ran out.

So im trying to find out my options, i was thinking of getting an Ed 1 year visa but the schools didnt think i would get one in Singapore. Does anyone know what kind of visa i need, can i get a 3 month Tourist visa and get it extended by a month. Or is it possible to get a 2 month visa and 2 2 trips out of the country and come in on a plane to get 30days each time.

I dont want to get caught out with to many back to back visas, and want to try and make it as easy as i can. I have a UK passport.

If you expect to travel you can obtain 30 day entry by air or obtain tourist visas for return that allow 60 days and can be extended 30 more.

You can not extend an extra 30 days on a 90 day visa entry.

Thanks for your help, So if i understand correctly i can ge the tourist Visa for 60days, then extend it for 30days, then leave thailand and come back in on a 30day arrival visa? Which would complete my total stay of 4 months?

Tourists visa (60 days) + extension (30 days) then 30 days visa exempt entry if re-entering by air, or 15 days visa exempt entry (x2) if re-entering by land border crossing.

Or double entry tourist visa from Vientianne, 2 times 60 days, possible to extend both entries with 30 days.
