Secure .mil Website Blocked?

Featured Replies

I have just had a friend come see me cause he is experiencing secure .mil website time out constantly.

This is happening through both CAT, TOT and Maxnet.

Does anyone else have problems with this?

https://mypay.dfas.mil/

https://www.us.army.mil

Other secure website work just fine.

The above sites respond correctly through a p**xy.

It could be your DNS server which finds p** site and redoes the DNS request again with own server or It could be that .mil is blocking a range of IP addresses and the other means is changing your IP. Most blocks have a redirect to a message. These problems sometime self resolve after server maintenance. I had no problem getting the site use open DNS

No problem for me on TOT

on maxnet, no problem(google dns set as backup) however the second site has an expired certificate, you need to add an exeption for it.

No problem getting into the mypay site using CAT.

Interesting page when trying to get into the us.army site.

Actually now that I have done some more testing, I am pretty sure this problem is related to DNS.
