Major Major
Well, I have a party at my house in Bangrak every second Thursday, usually involving lots of porno DVDs and mid-70's German techno music. Once a pretty girl showed up but she left pretty quickly, I think appalled by the number of taches. And that was on the women. I do not charge an entry fee, doors open at 1.00am and we party on the beach until dawn. Generally, around 4.00am, I pull out my acoustic guitar and sing American Pie's 64 verses to geat acclaim. From my mother anyway, who lives with me. She is 70 and still sexually active. See yer there!

iamguava
Hi I was last there in January and in Chaweng the bars are open until 2:00am and not 1:00am. There are a couple or three places still open until 4:00am, not sure of the names but "Solo Bar" was one and I think another was "The Pool Bar". I dont know for certain how these bars are getting away with it, although there are rumours Note that the police clamped down on the 7-11s and they no longer serve alcohol after the bars close. I will return in 6 weeks (not my favourite part of Thailand anymore but I have family there) but by then you will have already discovered if these bars are still open

joinme2leave
as far as I have experienced many many many times: SOLO BAR is closing 1 a.m. as well (if you are really lucky it might be 1:30 a.m.) Though, you may very well sit outside and enjoy the silence... It started , less then 3 months ago after a agreement with local police force ( they don't have to stay open but they can if they give the barfines to the police ... shhht i didn't tell you ... ) . citizen821
I will give the taxi driver a couple of hundred baht and tell him I want to continue drinking. They will always find you a spot. There was this one spot in Lamai that was no more than a few small buildings in the middle of this field but was open till dawn. About half farangs and half Thais. I thought we were lost because it was down this long dirt road but ended up being pretty cool.

Lek Bar is closed now , allready 1 year or so , due to heavy problems with police force ... heard a story about that but whatever ... Lek bar used to be the place in Lamai to stay open all night and was first in Lamai itself , near Freelance bar . Later he moved the bar to a more remote area just outside town , a very quiet spot ... not for the noise but also for other things going on there .... shhhttt i didn't tell you .... After a while Buddy Beer opend or became mopre popular , i don't remember anymore and they have big money . The money was big enough ( or it seams to be ) to stay open all night , i think every day off the year . Even on public holidays i've known it was open , allthough sometimes no people there . Great spot however when there are a lot off people and everybody sitting on the bar area outside on the beach . There are allways spots to go ... just drive around or ask around , you allways can drink on every day of the year on every hour you want . Malice in Wonderland
In Lamai You could try the recently re-opened Lek bar up the same road as the Spa and the morning market or the bar which sets up nightly on the beach (accessed from the same soi as Lamai Wanta and Lava lounge). Both all night!!!
