Non Imm "o" Extension Bsd On Marriage To Thai

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I am a 34 year old Indian married to a Thai National.

I have successfully applied for a SINGLE entry Non Imm "O" visa here in India.

I have the required 400000 baht to show for the one year visa extension and my queries are around this extension.

The 2 specific questions I have are :

1. Is there an option for applying a 1 year extension with "multiple" entry - I want to be able to travel back and forth from India and Thailand.

2. If the multiple entry is indeed an option, I understand that I have to do the 90 day reporting. But what happens if on the day I have to report @ immigration I am actually out of Thailand and do not show up at immigration?

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

1. Apply for a Multi Re Entry Permit. 3,800 Baht. Come and go as you please.

2. You only report if you are in the country for 90 days.

Leave and the 90 days start when you return.

1. You must obtain a re-entry permit after receiving the extension of stay - they cost 1,000 baht single entry or 3,800 baht multi entry. That will take care of your travel plans.

2. The 90 day reporting is only due when you stay in Thailand 90 days - if you leave before reporting (stay less than 90 days) it is next due 90 days from arrival date.
