2,000 Burmese workers attend cremation rite of 8 massacred compatriots

Tak - Some 2,000 Burmese workers attended the cremation rite of eight Burmese workers who were massacred reportedly by rogue police officers on January 23.

The rite was held at the Wat Don Kaew Temple in Mae Sot district.

The workers also called on the government to bring wrongdoers to justice.

The eight were massacred reportedly by policemen while they were trying to sneak into the country.
