soihok
I have just read an interview with the Dorna boss Carmelo Ezpeleta regarding the proposed Singapore Moto GP. http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/156849/1/...ling_block.html Sounds as if it wont be happening, at least in the near future anyway. As Sepang is only a few hours from here its difficult to see it happening at all, the circuit would have to be a dedicated motor racing track, opposed to the street circuit used by the F1. A race would never meet the saftey standards required by Moto GP to use the street circuit. If the F1 body were to move towards the construction of a dedicated circuit it may become possible for Dorna to stage Moto GPs but due to the cost of land here to do so , the bill would be huge. The fact there are many golf courses on the island is quite sad really. Dream on.
motoyen
Why was the track in China dropped?
soihok
Not sure really, all I can find is that it was poorly attended, which sounds odd for China. That and other countries strongly pushing for a round in their respective country.
