Also no long works

Bangkok Post works today but not for the past 2 days :)

A suspended hosting account could be for many reasons, for example:

- unpaid bills

- the account exceeded bandwidth quota

- the account owner was banned from the hosting provider for some reason

etc etc

both are down for me.

would seem the hosting or domain have not been paid for and have expired.

Both working fine when I checked, about 30 seconds ago.

Checking their registry at Go Daddy it shows last updated today so appears they may have renewed. However, if it expired for an extended period of time then it will take time for the name to propagate to the world DNS servers. One whois server shows it is not in the database and another one shows it is. This means some may be able to connect and some won't.

'new website coming soon'

awesome, take down a website with content, to show nothing. while you build something else :)

Still says "Develop by Silvermover.com" (sic) so probably more likely they had a disk crash and no backups ....

I spoke to the owner yesterday, he said their site got hacked

Yeah security is not a strong side for most Thai developers ... and in any case, with a valid backup they'd have been back online withing an hour.

A decent webhost will have daily backups but that's not what people want these days. All that counts is that you're offered hundreds of gigabytes of disk space (that most likely won't be available if you really need it) for a dollar a month. Backups? Who cares? What will we need that for?

Instead they now have 3 days downtime and counting.
