Are Jomtien still asking for a medical cert. for retirement visa extension? Last year they were not (it was handed back to me and I was told 'mai Perai'. The year before they DID want it. What's the 2010 take on it?

And where are ppl using? I used a clinic at the top of Thapasit road last year.

No. Don't bother! It hasn't been required for years now. Just because they took it, does not mean it was required.

I don't know if they ask. In the police-order and other iimmigration-informations stays nothing about a med. certificat for the retirementvisa.

But this is Thailand. If you have one, then they give it back to you. If you have none, they will have it.

This i saw in Nakom Phanom. Before me was one without the certificat, they did send him away to a doctor. The next was me, i had one and they did gave it back to me! "Mr., not need!!"

A Medical Certificate is not needed.

I can say with 100 percent confidence this is NOT needed at Jomtien. Period. End of story.
