Now here is my story,

I have been in Thailand for 3 years and on different visas work->student-> work.

Now for the last 2.5 years Im working with a company and hold a legal work permit.

Here is the deal my WP was just extended till 2011, and my visa was just extended till the same period.

What worries me, if I quit the job or get fired what will happen with the visa? Will I still be able to stay or I have to leave the country imidiately? I mean if I dont have any tickets prepared going back and fourth out of the country is time consuming + money + passport pages.

Speaking of passport pages I have a few pages left in it and I do not want to re-change my visa again. All I want is to stay for example till end of August and then (when Im done with my UNIversity here) I will go back to Europe.

There is no embassy of my country so if I dont have any pages in my passport left (cuz of changing visas) I will have to go back to europe and come back again here. It will cost a fortune.

So is there any way? If the visa expires straight when u finish the work (how will they know actually?) its redicilous.

Work visa

Presumably, you are referring to an annual extension of stay for the reason of employment. This permission to stay will unfortunately become invalid on the last day of your employment but you can get a 7-day extension of stay for 1,900 Baht. For a continued stay until August you will need a double-entry tourist visa, which I believe in the region is given only by the Thai consulate.

Passport

When a country has no embassy or consulate in Thailand it usually makes arrangements with another country to handle consular services on its behalf. Check if this is the case for your country.

So even if my visa is valid till Feb 2010 so when I quit or get fired it will expire straight away? That sux, how will they know I mean ? If I go and do 90 days reporting will they notice?

Thats insanely stupid 1,900 bht just for 7 days so I can leave the country, then go to Malaysia or Singapore and make tourist visa.
